Location
Located in the quiet hamlet of Gstan, nestled between Mayrhofen and Finkenberg in the Zillertal Valley, our country house impresses with its traditional alpine flair.
The village centres of both Mayrhofen and Finkenberg are only around 1.5 kilometres away. Beautifully furnished in a quirky mix of modern and contemporary Tyrolean style featuring home from home comforts, our house is the perfect haven for those seeking to indulge in the essential pleasures of rest and relaxation.
The Apartments
The house's history can be traced back to the 1800s. We purchased the property in 1996 and have been adding to it ever since! We completely renovated the holiday apartments in 2019 and named them after our children, Daniela, Isabella and Maximilian. Each of the spacious apartments features an expansive balcony or garden terrace with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, including our own favourite "Mount Grünberg".
Ski Bus & Ski Taxi
In winter, you can take advantage of a free ski taxi service (which picks you up directly from the top of our drive) to access the Finkenberger Almbahnen cable car. The ski bus to Mayrhofen stops only a few minutes walk away (through a steep field to be honest – but that is the nature of the beast when you stay in a mountain location). Of course, you are also welcome to use our private carpark next to the house free of charge.
The Garden
Our country house is surrounded by a lush garden, which you are welcome to use. You might want to fire up the grill on our idyllic terrace and enjoy a barbeque with friends, or pick fruit from the bounty of apple and pear trees, berry bushes and grape vines, or just savour a glass of wine in the midst of the Zillertal Alps.
Private Spring & Bread Delivery Service
We enjoy the rare luxury of owning our own spring, which supplies the entire house with fresh mountain water. Regularly quality controlled, it has never delivered less than perfect results. When staying here you don't need to go to the trouble or expense of buying bottled water, as the quality of what flows out of every tap in our house is superior by far!
We are happy to arrange fresh bread to be delivered to your door (please order one day in advance).
Your Hosts
We, Mike and Kate, look forward to welcoming you to our home. We also live in Landhaus Seiringer with our family and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have on excursions, hikes, bike rides and of course where to find the best ski slopes.
We are all bilingual and speak fluent German and English.
Shuttle Service
Just let us know if you are travelling here by rail or coach and we will be more than happy to pick you up from Mayrhofen Station. This service is free – all we ask is for you to give us a little advance notice.
